WIN@sea joins the Mission!

Our partner, Annette Bruhn from Aarhus University was invited to Brussels representing OLAMUR and WIN@sea at a roundtable discussion for universities on how we work towards implementing the mission.

WIN@sea, a part of OLAMUR, was invited to the European Ocean Days in Brussels from March 3rd to 7th to showcase our best practices for implementing the EU Ocean Missions. On March 6th, Annette Bruhn from Aarhus University delivered a five-minute talk during the ‘Roundtables with Universities’ session, sharing the platform with other European universities involved in Mission Ocean projects.

Annette highlighted our successful transdisciplinary collaboration between science and industry, as well as our extensive dissemination efforts targeting various groups, including stakeholders, youth, and children’s education, as well as the general public.

The EU Mission “Restore Our Ocean and Waters” aims to protect and restore the health of our oceans and waters through research and innovation, citizen engagement, and blue investments. This mission takes a new approach by addressing oceans and waters as a single entity, playing a crucial role in achieving climate neutrality and restoring nature.

Both OLAMUR and WIN@sea have endorsed the Missions Charter.
