While research and innovation are the core of OLAMUR and sister-project, WIN@sea, the projects collaborate with some of the same organisations and industry partners, aiming to create ‘impact’ while using the resources sustainably and addressing the positive aspects of the project’s objectives.
This impact comes in very creative forms; one of these was the new board game released last year- The Dilemma Game: The Wind at Sea, which focuses on learning about multi-use activities in the ocean, combining fossil-free energy production from wind farms with food production through seaweed and mussel farming. The game is now part of the new course “Who Owns the Sea – A Co-curricular Science Course” for grades 7-10, just released, which is based on the concept of multi-use, as well as the concepts of regenerative food production and renewable energy sources at sea.
