The Kattegatcentret has developed a new educational programme focusing on the sustainable use of the ocean, based on the research project WIN@sea.
As part of the programme, students work with topics such as multi-use of marine space, regenerative food production, and fossil-free energy. The programme is aimed at older primary and lower secondary school students and combines scientific knowledge with hands-on activities and reflection on future challenges in the marine environment.
Students also play the dilemma-based board game WIN@sea / “Wind at Sea”, where they discuss real-world issues related to how ocean space and resources can be used sustainably. The game has been developed as an engaging way to encourage young people to discuss and learn about sustainable use of the ocean.
